Measuring your penis size
After reading the results of the different penis size studies out there and hearing the preferences of many women on the issue, its natural to want to find out where you stand.
Measuring the size of your manhood is also extremely important should you decide to enlarge your penis. Without having an accurate measure of where you started, you will have no way to track your progress over the coming weeks.
Measuring the flaccid length
If you're wondering why measuring the flaccid length is important, you may want to consider that flaccid gains are the first ones to come with an enlargement program. Also, keep in mind that the room temperature will affect your flaccid length, so keep this in mind when measuring your penis.
Make sure to measure from the side of the penis for accurate results. Stand straight and extend your flaccid member in front of you, making sure you're not stretching it. Keeping it parallel to the floor, place the ruler next to it (it should be pressing slightly against your pubic bone). While keeping your penis and ruler parallel to each other, take note of your flaccid length.
Measuring the flaccid girth
You will need a tape measure for this as measuring with a ruler just won't be accurate enough. Holding your flaccid penis straight out in front of you (once again, be careful not to stretch it), wrap a tape measure around the center of the shaft. Make sure not to pull to tightly and remember the level of the pull to keep it consistent the next time around. The average flaccid girth is anywhere between 3 and 4 inches.
Measuring the erect length
This, of course, is what most men (and women) are interested in. The standard way the penises are measured in all the studies is from the side of the shaft. First off, make sure your penis is fully, 100% erect.
Hold it parallel to the floor with one hand while placing the ruler next to it with another. Measure to the nearest millimetre and take note of the size in your logbook. The average penis length derived by this method is close to 6.2''.
Measuring the erect girth
This is very similar to measuring the flaccid girth, except you need to make sure that your penis is 100% erect. According to the recent studies, the average erect girth is 5 to 5.5 inches, while girth 6 or more inches is considered optimal by most women when it comes to vaginal and clitoral stimulation.
